eSmart Program

eSmart is an initiative of The Alannah and Madeline Foundation, a national charity committed to protecting children from violence. Cyberbullying, sexual predation, identity theft and accessing or sending inappropriate images and content are some of the real cyber safety risks facing young people today.

In 2015 Taylors Lakes Secondary College became an accredited eSmart School, and as such, we have been acknowledged to have processes and frameworks in place to promote cyber safety and wellbeing.

At Taylors Lakes Secondary College we encourage relationships that are strong and supportive and learning outcomes that are enhanced, therefore making bullying and cyberbullying less likely to thrive.

Smart, safe and responsible use of information and communications technology is becoming a cultural norm within the College, due to the eSmart practices being embedded within the curriculum and encouraged through extra programs running throughout the school year.

Students are regularly involved in developing and delivering information on the smart, safe and responsible use of technologies and are also taught a suite of social and emotional skills via the school Homegroup Programs.
